City Tour Lima

We will start by picking up all our participants from their different hotels in Lima, and then start with a small visit to the Intihuatana Park, established on the Malecón of Miraflores, where will appreciate the magnificent Pacific Ocean.

We will continue our tour of the residential districts in the modern areas of Miraflores and San Isidro; we will have the opportunity to observe the Huaca Pucllana, pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid that despite the urban expansion of Lima has endured.

We will continue the tour to continue to the Parque del Olivar and the Financial Center of Lima, and then visit the Historic Center of Lima, named by UNESCO in 1991 as a World Heritage Site Cultural of the Humanity. Where the Spanish crown, founded the center of the colony in the sixteenth century, where the first colonial buildings were built.

We will be dazzled by the magnificent Plaza de San Martin, old balconies and old mansions, the Plaza Mayor and its most prominent buildings such as the Palace the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop's and Municipal Palace, the Desamparados Station and a lot more. In between the tour, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the most highlights of the 17th century. Place where in spite of the time the relics of the three Peruvian saints most prominent, Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres and San Juan Macias.

Then we will return to Miraflores, where we will finish the tour, the option to stay in the Indian market, Larcomar or return to your hotel, it will be at your discretion.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by our, to begin the day's excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located on the banks of the Vilcanota River.

We will have the opportunity to appreciate the Inca citadel of Pisac, where platforms and architectural structures located on the slopes dominate the landscape of that place and at the top of the mountain, back to the traditional village of Pisac, we will visit the traditional Indian market, where we can appreciate closely the ancestral customs of its inhabitants.

We will continue to the village of Urubamba where we will have a delicious lunch in one of the traditional restaurants located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

After a delicious lunch, we will visit the Fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, established to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and to safeguard it from invasions coming from the eastern jungle. After appreciating such an impressive place of return to Cusco, we will appreciate the traditional town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui.

We will appreciate its very well preserved Inca walls in the main square and also appreciate the beautiful temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca construction, this town is a beautiful example of the mestizo and colonial style and at the appointed time we will return to Cusco.

• Walk and terrain: Walk on open roads, some steep trails

We pick you up at 4:30 a.m. from the hotel and transfer you to the train station along the train journey you will see picturesque landscapes, until you reach km 104 “Chachabamba”, also known as the beginning of the 2 day Inca Trail around 10 a.m.

After 3 hours of walking we will arrive at the archaeological group of "Wiñaywayna" (2650 m.a.s.l.) which is also the main attraction and archaeological site of the Inca Trail, guided visit of the archaeological complex.

In the afternoon, we continue our hike to Machu Picchu through a semi-tropical forest to "Intipunku" (the gate of the sun) from where we can enjoy a panoramic visit of the majestic "Machupicchu".

Rest and after 01 hour we will arrive at the Inca City of Machupicchu, brief rest and then descend to Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu Town by tourist bus, arriving approximately at 16:30, transfer to the Hotel and rest.

5:00am After breakfast we take the bus to the Inca city of Machupicchu, if time allows, enjoy the sunrise, then we will have approximately 2 hours a visit to the most important sites with your guide, then you can explore the mysterious city at your own pace.

If you still have energy you can also climb Wayna Picchu (2720m/8923ft) (which is optional) It takes 45 minutes to reach the top, this walk is additional and optional and you may have to leave the Machu Picchu tour to be able to get a permit to climb this mountain.

On the way, back we will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon take the train back to Ollantaytambo. Expedition service (to Ollantaytambo) and tourist bus to Cusco.

We will be in Cusco at approximately 10:30pm.
